A striking set of eight mid-century dining chairs designed by Antonín Šuman, dating from the 1960s.
The chairs feature Šuman’s distinctive sculptural form, with beautifully curved upholstered backrests incorporating an elegant central opening. The rounded seats and tapered dark wooden legs create a particularly balanced silhouette, combining the softness of the upholstery with the clean lines characteristic of Central European modernist furniture of the period.
 
The set has been newly upholstered in a premium light beige bouclé, giving the chairs a warm, tactile finish while remaining neutral enough to complement both contemporary and vintage interiors. The dark timber legs provide a strong contrast against the softly textured fabric.
 
Presented as a complete set of eight, these chairs make an impressive dining arrangement and are particularly well suited to a substantial dining table or statement interior.
