Arne Vodder — Danish Three-Seater Sofa, 1960s
A beautifully refined Danish mid-century sofa designed by Arne Vodder, showcasing the designer’s signature balance of sculptural elegance and everyday comfort. Produced in Denmark during the 1960s, the piece reflects the clean architectural language that made Vodder one of the most respected Scandinavian designers of the period.
The sofa features a solid teak frame with gently tapered legs and elegantly shaped armrests, highlighting the natural warmth and grain of the wood. The structure has been carefully restored in our workshop, cleaned and finished with natural oils to revive the timber while preserving its original character.
The cushions have been fully rebuilt and upholstered in rich forest-green velvet, adding a luxurious depth of colour and a soft tactile contrast to the warm teak frame. The upholstery complements the sofa’s minimalist lines while maintaining a classic Scandinavian aesthetic.
The back construction reveals beautiful craftsmanship, with a slatted teak structure that keeps the design visually light while providing excellent support.
