A striking and unusually complete Brutalist modular lounge set, constructed from substantial solid oak and comprising modular seating together with three matching coffee/side tables.
The exposed oak frames give the set its strong architectural character, while the backs are supported by broad leather straps – a particularly beautiful detail that becomes part of the design rather than simply a functional element.
Generously cushioned seats and backs in a warm burnt-orange boucle upholstery soften the heavy oak construction and create a great contrast of colour and texture.
The modular nature allows the pieces to be arranged in numerous ways, from a large conversational seating group to separate sofas and lounge chairs. The three slatted-top tables can equally be positioned together or used independently throughout the room.
A rare, substantial and highly versatile 1970s Brutalist lounge set, particularly impressive because so many original matching elements have remained together.
