Design icon of the World, set of four MR10 chairs designed in 1927 by the master of international style, the headmaster is of Bauhaus School - Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe. This model is one of the first designed by him. The structure of the chairs is based on chrome plated bent pipes frame. The seat and backrest are in natural, very thick leather. Chairs of such construction are known as cantilever chairs. Model MR10 has become one of the most enduring designs of the 20th Century and remains as a symbol of revolutionary concept in industrial design. This model was originally manufactured by Gebruder Thonetin Europe, then the license for the production was obtain by Knoll International in the late 50's. A characteristic feature of this model are the movable, thin beams under the seat. The principle of construction in MR series is high seating comfort. Thanks to its lightness and minimalism, altogether with high level of practicality, this model improved space of buildings designed in the era and permanently secured its place in the history of of the art of furniture design. The chairs were part of world class exhibitions inc. Museum of modern Art (MOMA) or The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York.
