Danish Teak Seater Sofa by Möbelfabrik Holstebro, Denmark, 1960s – Blue Boucle
Online exclusive - Delivery in 5-7 Weeks.
A beautifully proportioned Danish two-seater sofa by Möbelfabrik Holstebro, dating from the 1960s.
The design features a particularly attractive solid teak frame, with continuous sculpted arms flowing into the legs and a beautifully detailed open back. The rounded joints and softly curved timber give the sofa an organic quality typical of the best Danish furniture of the period.
The deep, relaxed seating is upholstered in blue bouclé, providing a contemporary contrast to the warm teak frame. Individually shaped seat and back cushions offer excellent comfort while retaining the sofa's light, elegant appearance.
The craftsmanship is especially evident when viewed from the side and rear, making this a piece that works particularly well freestanding in a room rather than pushed against a wall.
A compact yet substantial Danish sofa – ideal for a living room, reading area, study or anywhere a full-size sofa would be too imposing.
