Danish Three-Seater Sofa by L. Olsen and Son Mobelfabrik, 1960s

A beautifully proportioned Danish Mid-Century three-seater sofa by L. Olsen & Søn Møbelfabrik, dating from the 1960s.
The sofa features an elegant sculptural timber frame with gently sweeping arms, softly rounded joints and a light open-back construction. The profile is refined and understated, with the curved armrests flowing naturally into the rear uprights — a characteristic detail of high-quality Danish furniture from the period.
The frame has been carefully restored and paired with new upholstery in a rich teal chenille, creating a strong contrast between the warm timber and deep textured fabric. Three separate seat cushions and three generous back cushions provide excellent comfort while maintaining the clean, balanced proportions of the original design.
The open back, with its horizontal timber rails, also makes the sofa particularly attractive when positioned away from a wall and viewed from all sides.
