Juul Kristensen Teak Armchair & Footstool, Denmark, 1960s – Kvadrat Wool
A beautifully crafted Danish high back lounge chair with matching footstool by Juul Kristensen, dating from the 1960s.
The chair features a sculptural solid teak frame, with long sweeping armrests, an elegant slatted back and beautifully considered proportions. The headrest is secured with leather straps, adding another distinctive detail to the design.
Designed very much with comfort in mind, the generous cushions and high back create an exceptionally comfortable lounge chair, while the matching footstool completes the experience.
The set has been fully restored and newly upholstered in Kvadrat Hallingdal 65 wool, one of Kvadrat's most recognised upholstery textiles. The warm off-white tone gives the chair a clean contemporary appearance while allowing the rich grain and colour of the teak to remain the focus.
A superb example of Danish mid-century furniture combining craftsmanship, comfort and understated Scandinavian design.
