Illum Wikkelso Three-Seater Sofa for Niels Eilersen, Denmark 1960s
A beautifully proportioned Mid-Century Danish three-seater sofa designed by the renowned Illum Wikkelsø and manufactured by Niels Eilersen. This model perfectly captures the essence of Scandinavian modernism—clean architectural lines, refined craftsmanship, and effortless comfort.
The solid teak frame showcases elegant, sculpted armrests and a striking open-back design, allowing the sofa to sit beautifully in open-plan interiors. The wood has been carefully restored and finished with premium teak oils, enhancing its rich tone and natural grain.
The sofa has been fully reupholstered in a warm yellow tweed, bringing a fresh yet timeless character to the piece. Generously proportioned seat and back cushions provide excellent comfort, while maintaining the original design integrity. All cushions are fitted with discreet zips for practicality.
We offer a full bespoke upholstery service in our in-house atelier. This sofa can be reupholstered in a fabric of your choice, including premium options such as bouclé, velvet, or wool (e.g. Linwood, Kvadrat). For commercial use, fabrics can be treated or selected to meet UK Crib 5 (FR) standards.
