A beautifully crafted chairs of Danish Mid-Century armchairs designed by Juul Kristensen for Glostrup Møbelfabrik, dating from the 1960s.
The chairs feature substantial sculpted teak frames with broad, gently curved armrests, tapered legs and an open slatted back construction. The detailing is particularly strong around the arms, where the timber flows into the uprights with the soft, organic shaping characteristic of high-quality Danish cabinetmaking from the period.
The chairs have been professionally restored and newly upholstered in a textured ivory fabric, chosen to complement the warm tone of the teak while keeping the overall appearance light and understated. Generously proportioned seat and back cushions make the chairs both visually elegant and comfortable in use.
The teak frames present very well, with attractive grain and colour throughout, while retaining the natural character expected of authentic vintage furniture.
